Most overbuying starts with a brand, not a week of work. Write the jobs you will actually open the tool for. Then check the cap that would stop that work. This article uses vendor documentation. We have not run a project inside either product for this page.
Name the weekly jobs
- Finding keywords for pages you will publish
- Checking ranks for a list you already chose
- Crawling a site for broken pages
- Looking up links
- Checking whether an AI answer mentions you
If the list is one line long, a suite that also does ads research is a different purchase. If the list includes a crawl and client reports, a keyword tool alone will run out.

Caps that change the decision
Mangools' help article says these limits were checked on 5 October 2026. The same article says dollar prices depend on country and on monthly or annual billing, so this page does not print a Mangools price.
| Mangools plan | Keyword lookups per 24 hours | Tracked keywords | How often ranks update |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | 100 | 200 | Weekly |
| Premium | 500 | 700 | Weekly |
| Agency | 1,200 | 1,500 | Daily |

A suite counts differently
Semrush's subscriptions article describes SEO + AI Search plans without putting a dollar amount on the names Starter, Pro+, and Advanced. The tracked-keyword figures in that article are 500 a day on Starter, 1,500 on Pro+, and 5,000 on Advanced. Prompt tracking in the same article is 50, 100, and 200 a day. A different Semrush article still lists SEO Toolkit Pro, Guru, and Business at $139.95, $249.95, and $499.95 a month. Those are not the same plan names. Do not paste the Toolkit price onto Starter.

A seven-day trial that answers something
Pick one seed list, the same country, and the same device. Run it in each trial. You are checking whether the cap and the export match your week, not whether one database is "more accurate." We are not claiming a winner on data quality.
- Who needs a login, and who only needs a PDF?
- Does the export include the keywords and the rank history?
- Will a daily lookup cap stop the work on day two?
The short version you can take into a trial is the SEO tool selection checklist. The head-to-head notes are Semrush vs Mangools. A wider shortlist is best SEO tools. The scoring method, which is not a lab test, is on the methodology page.

How this page was made: from each provider's official product and pricing pages and its public documentation, read on the date named in the page. We have not run a hands-on test, lab benchmark, or paid user study for this page. A step-by-step section describes the vendor's published flow. It is not a test we performed.
